York Region District School Board
Was part of information technology services for York Region District School Board servicing 6 schools and thousands of clients.
In 1999, I physically assembled a fully functional radio station (studio, music scheduling system, automation system, computer network, streaming server, and transmission plant) and co-created a grade 12 radio broadcasting course at Vaughan Secondary School.
A few years later I was accepted to the faculty of education at Queen’s University.
After completing full time studies I began teaching at Middlefield Collegiate Institute.
Grade 9-12 were taught to create personal websites (online portfolios) to showcase and store their work. All course assignments, exemplars and rubrics were online for students, peers and parents.
